From the factory the Scania trucks R-Serie with the 420 engine (All) delivers 420 HP and 2100 Nm on diesel. With a Tune Maps remap the calibration is optimised to 500 HP and 2460 Nm – that is 19% more power and 17% more torque, while staying within safe limits for engine and drivetrain. The engine is controlled by a Motorola EMS S6 / Motorola EMS S8 ECU.
